NORFOLK (April 28, 2022) Participants of NATO-accredited Centres of Excellence (COE) Directors' conference receive a brief from Chief Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Christopher Houy, from Memphis, Tennessee, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) air department, of the ship's flight deck control during a tour, April 28, 2022. The visit is the culminating event of the two-day conference sponsored by Commander, 2nd Fleet, and provided the participants an opportunity to observe and discuss Gerald R. Ford-class unique systems and equipment. Gerald R. Ford is in port Naval Station Norfolk preparing for its next underway period.
