ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 1, 2022) U.S. service members assigned to the Expeditionary Sea Base USS Hershel "Woody" Williams (ESB 4) bring a rigid-hull inflatable boat alongside to begin loading a multiservice, multinational boarding team during a maritime security patrol, April 1, 2022. The joint U.S. and Cabo Verdean team, with support from the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) and Maritime Analysis and Operations Centre - Narcotics (MAOC-N), interdicted one of the largest trans-oceanic drug shipments. Hershel "Woody" Williams is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Sixth Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national interests and security in Europe and Africa.
