ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 25, 2022) A Sailor assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), directs an F/A-18F Super Hornet, attached to the "Blacklions" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 213, during flight operations on the flight deck, March 25, 2022. Gerald R. Ford is underway in the Atlantic Ocean conducting flight deck certification and air wing carrier qualification as part of the ships tailored basic phase prior to operational deployment.
