NAPLES, Italy (March 17, 2022) U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Francis Donovan arrives in Naples, Italy to command the newly-formed Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 61/2 (TF-61/2), and speaks to the Marines about their roles under Sixth Fleet, March 17, 2022. The members of TF-61/2 were invited by, and will temporarily provide command and control support to, Vice Admiral Gene Black, commander, U.S. Sixth Fleet, as part of ongoing experimentation efforts. The Task Force will synchronize assigned Fleet Marine Forces and Navy units, to support of regional Allies and Partners and U.S. national security interests.
