CORAL SEA (March 25, 2022) Lt. Brandon Shellenberger and Hull Maintenance Technician Fireman Esther Cabral, both assigned to the Emory S. Land-class submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), participate in a ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Coral Sea, March 25. The Coral Sea Commemorative Association, who toured the ship while ported in Brisbane, Australia, requested Frank Cable commemorate the event with a wreath-laying ceremony dedicated to the Lexington-class aircraft carrier USS Lexington (CV 2) that sank during the battle, which occurred May 4-8, 1942. Frank Cable is on patrol conducting expeditionary maintenance and logistics in support of national security in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
