NORFOLK (March 16, 2022) Marines with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Sailors with the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) prepare to man the rails, beginning their 2022 deployment, March 16, 2022. The 22nd MEU, in conjunction with the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, serves as a sea-based, expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious missions across the full range of military operations.
