YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 7, 2022) Capt. Fred Goldhammer, commanding officer of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), receives a tour of a Ship’s Repair Force (SRF) Yokosuka warehouse on board Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka. Interoperability with SRF Yokosuka allows Ronald Reagan to complete vital in-port maintenance and maintain operational readiness. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
