Perry, director, Undersea Warfare Division of the Chief of Naval Operations' staff, toward the submarine during Ice Exercise (ICEX) 2022, March 7, 2022. Illinois was moored to a sheet of floating Arctic Ocean ice approximately 170 nautical miles offshore.
