PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 7, 2022) Fire Controlman (AEGIS) 1st Class Nathan Wickenkamp, from Carlsbad, N.M., checks helium gauges while Sailors on the flight deck inflate a balloon for a ballistic missile defense calibration test onboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62). Fitzgerald is part of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, led by Carrier Strike Group 3, deployed from San Diego, Jan. 3, in support of global maritime security operations.
