APRA HARBOR, Guam (Jan. 26, 2022) Mineman 2nd Class Arthur Guevara, from Orizaba, Mexico, left, and Mineman 2nd Class Samuel Vazquez, from Odessa, Texas, stand by as crane lifts a milvan from Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit (EODMU) 5 to the mission bay of the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Tulsa (LCS 16). The milvan was onloaded to showcase the interoperability with EODMU equipment and the Independence-variant LCS. Tulsa, part of Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 7, is on a rotational deployment, operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
