Dry-fire is the practice of aiming the weapon and squeezing the trigger without ammunition to promote the fundamentals of accuracy and proficiency before the actual live-fire exercise. CLDJ serves as an expeditionary base for U.S. military forces providing support to ships, aircraft and personnel that ensure security throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
