ATLANTIC OCEAN (Dec. 4, 2021) U.S. Marines with Charlie Company, 2nd Reconnaissance Batallion, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, execute a Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) exercise aboard training support vessel Prevail (IX-537), Dec. 4, 2021. The amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), the flagship for the 22nd MEU and Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) Six, is underway for Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise (AMX) in preparation for a future deployment. AMX is the second at-sea period in the MEU's Predeployment Training Program; it aims to test the capabilities of the ARG/MEU team in a realistic paced threat environment.
