GROTON, Conn. (Nov. 10, 2021) Firefighters cross the brow of the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Cheyenne (SSN 773) during a firefighting drill. The large-scale exercise was a joint endeavor between the Naval Submarine Base New London Fire Department and 18 fire departments from the surrounding communities in the event their personnel are called to help combat an actual blaze aboard a submarine such as the one aboard USS Miami (SSN 755) in 2012.
