HILO, Hawaii (Nov. 16, 2021) The U.S. Navy’s newest guided-missile destroyer, the future USS Daniel Inouye (DDG 118), is underway near Hilo, Hawaii. Daniel Inouye is making its maiden voyage, transiting to its home port of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, before its commissioning in December. Daniel Inouye is conducting a tour through the Hawaiian Islands to pay tribute to the memory and legacy of the late U.S. Sen. Daniel K.
