MISAWA, Japan (Nov. 10, 2021) Chief selects assigned to various commands at Naval Air Facility Misawa and Misawa Air Base extinguish a controlled aircraft fire during a training exercise, Nov. 10, 2021. This is the first time this event has included Sailors, Airmen, and Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) members. Naval Air Facility Misawa provides aviation and ground logistics support and services to all permanent and transient U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps forces in Northern Japan.
