GULF OF ADEN (Nov. 10, 2021) U.S. Marines and Sailors with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 211, Royal Navy Sailors and Royal Marines participate in a motivational 2.11 mile, 246th Birthday run on the flight deck of the Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth (R 08) in the Gulf of Aden on November 10, 2021. VMFA-211 has been deployed as part of the United Kingdom's Carrier Strike Group 21. The success of this deployment demonstrates that the United States and the UK are united in our efforts to ensure security and freedom of the seas, that our maritime power projection capabilities are interoperable, complementary, and global.
