SAIPAN, Pacific Ocean (Oct. 23, 2021) The Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Hampton (SSN 767) departs from alongside the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40) at the island of Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Oct. 23. The ship was alongside to participate in a weapons handling exercise involving the transfer of a MK-48 training shape. Frank Cable is on patrol conducting expeditionary maintenance and logistics in support of national security in the 7th Fleet area of operations.
