SURABAYA, Indonesia (Nov. 5, 2021) Navy Diver 1st Class Cole Cunningham, from Wheelersburg, Ohio, right, and Navy Diver 2nd Class Reegan Anderson, from Bancroft, Wis., both attached to Mobile Diving Salvage Unit (MDSU 1), conduct a diving exercise during Cooperation Afloat and Readiness and Training (CARAT) Indonesia 2021. In its 27th year, the CARAT series is comprised of multinational exercises, designed to enhance U.S. and partner navies’ abilities to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
