MONTEREY, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2021) AT&T’s robotic dog “Fido-G” operates in the Sea Land Air Military Research (SLAMR) facility at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) during its Joint Interagency Field Experimentation (JIFX) 22-1 event, Nov. 3, 2021. The NPS JIFX program, which holds quarterly experimentation events, exists to provide collaborative interactions between NPS faculty, students, defense industry, and academia to evaluate the defense applications of emerging technologies in an operational field environment. JIFX allows engineers and entrepreneurs to become more educated regarding Department of Defense requirements and challenges while allowing defense practitioners to evaluate, adapt or advance emerging technologies for the warfighter.
