OKINAWA, Japan (Oct. 26, 2021) Steelworker Constructionman Jadyn Booth, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, observes Lance Cpl. Scott Semack, assigned to 3d Landing Support Battalion (LSB), cut lumber for the Southwest Asia huts onboard Camp Hansen in Okinawa, Japan. The U.S. Marines with 3d LSB worked with the U.S. Navy Seabees with NMCB-5 throughout Exercise Amphitrite Galvanic to increase interoperability and advance regional security and stability. NMCB-5 is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific, strengthening their alliances and partnerships, and providing general engineering and civil support to joint operational forces.
