NEW YORK (Sept. 9, 2021) Native New York Sailors, serving aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD-21), visit the 9/11 Memorial Museum reflection pools during the 20th Anniversary Commemoration of the attacks on the United States. The USS New York was built with 7.5 tons of World Trade Center steel, and is one of the U.S. Navy’s three 9/11 namesake ships upholding the virtues of service, sacrifice and selflessness that have always been the source of America's strength.
