PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 25, 2021) The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Akizuki-class destroyer JS Akizuki (DD 115) sails in formation with the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65) and the Royal Australian Navy Hobart-class destroyer HMAS Brisbane (DDG 41). Benfold is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy's largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet's principal surface force.
