PENSACOLA, Fla. (Oct. 19, 2021) Rear Adm. Joseph B. Hornbuckle, commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (FRCs), learns how the virtual mobile electric power plant software works from Aviation Support Equipment Technician 1st Class Kyle Fowler, course supervisor, in the Naval Air Technical Training Center's (NATTC) Multipurpose Reconfigurable Training System 3D� laboratory today. Hornbuckle was able to see various aspects of naval aviation training during his visit to NATTC. The Navy�s FRCs, with locations on the U.S. east and west coasts and in Japan, conduct maintenance, repair, and overhaul of U.S. Navy aircraft, engines, components and support equipment. Each year roughly 6,500 Sailors and Marines, along with more than 9,500 depot artisans at the FRCs overhaul and repair nearly 1,000 aircraft, thousands of engines and several hundred thousand components valued at approximately $4 billion.
