WASHINGTON NAVY YARD (Oct. 13, 2021) Musician 1st Class Madilyn Crossland, assigned to the U.S. Navy Band, sings the National Anthem at the National Museum of the U.S. Navy (NMUSN) during a ceremony celebrating the Navy�s 246th birthday. During the ceremony, the Secretary of the Navy thanked the Navy Museum Development Foundation for its kind offer to lead a national campaign to raise funds for the future NMUSN. The intended location for the new NMUSN is outside the Washington Navy Yard�s security perimeter, which will give the public unrestricted access to U.S. Navy history and heritage.
