KEKAHA, Hawaii (Sept. 30, 2021) Scientists and a student from Kanuikapono Public Charter School use a caliper to measure the length of Opihi limpets in order to assign them a size class along the Nohili intertidal coastline fronting Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), Barking Sands while surveying the Opihi limpet population. PMRF is the world’s largest instrumented multi-environment range capable of supporting surface, subsurface, air and space operations simultaneously.
