\SAN DIEGO (Sep. 30, 2021) Jonathan Ramos, a systems engineer, ensures network integration during a surgical telemonitoring demonstration at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Center (NMRTC) San Diego�s Simulation and Bio-Skills Training Center. The demonstration was conducted in the hospital�s Simulation and Bio-Skills Training Center and the Virtual Medical Operations Center (VMOC) concurrently, and was done to showcase potential impact of the VMOC on surgical and invasive procedure telementoring enterprise-wide. NMRTC San Diego's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMRTC San Diego employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
