Wisborg visited the ship with Commander, U.S. 2nd Fleet, Joint Force Command (JFC) Norfolk Vice Adm. Daniel Dwyer. Denmark has provided support to JFC Norfolk since the command's establishment in 2019. JFC Norfolk is a joint, operational-level NATO command supporting deterrence and defense from sea bed-to-space from the North Atlantic to the High North. George H.W. Bush provides the national command authority flexible, tailorable warfighting capability as the flagship of a carrier strike group that maintains maritime stability and security in order to ensure access, deter aggression and defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
