Daniel Dwyer, commander, U.S. 2nd Fleet, Joint Force Command (JFC) Norfolk, left, and Danish Defense Attach� Rear Adm. Frank Trojahn, right upon their arrival to the ship for a visit to discuss the mission and role of aircraft carriers. Denmark has provided support to Joint Force Command (JFC) Norfolk since the command's establishment in 2019, and has an important role within JFC Norfolk's area of responsibility. JFC Norfolk is a joint, operational-level NATO command supporting deterrence and defense from sea bed-to-space from the North Atlantic to the High North. George H.W. Bush provides the national command authority flexible, tailorable warfighting capability through the carrier strike group that maintains maritime stability and security in order to ensure access, deter aggression and defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
