YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 16, 2021) Patricia Carlson, assistant principal of the Sullivans Elementary School at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), holds the crest of USS The Sullivans (DDG 68) beside the entryway of the Sullivans Elementary School after a gift exchange event between the school and the guided-missile destroyer USS The Sullivans (DDG 68). For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
