PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 8, 2021) Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Jonathan Kosfeld, from Pleasant Hill, Mo., directs a 330J Puma helicopter assigned to Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Alan Shepard (T-AKE 3) while delivering supplies to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry (DDG 52) during a vertical replenishment. Barry is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy's largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet's principal surface force.
