James Allen, a combat engineer with Marine Wing Support Detachment (MWSD) 273, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 31, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), spreads concrete into a crater with Sailors from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 133, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Training Center Gulfport, Mississippi, during Expedient and Expeditionary Airfield Damage Repair Training at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, Hopkins, South Carolina, Aug. 28, 2021. Marines with MWSD - 273 participated in the training with their Navy, Air Force and Army counterparts to learn about emerging technologies and techniques of airfield damage repair and gain insight on how the other branches of the Armed Forces operate.
