PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 31, 2021) U.S. Coast Guard Seaman Jaiden Hartley, a rescue swimmer aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Munro, recovers a simulated man overboard during a search-and-rescue exercise with the Philippine Coast Guard, Aug. 31, 2021, in the West Philippine Sea. The exercise simulated the agencies’ bilateral response to a vessel in distress and gave personnel the opportunity to practice searching for a distressed vessel, shipboard firefighting techniques, and recovering and treating persons in the water.
