WASHINGTON (Aug. 25, 2021) Gene Rausch, with Commander, Navy Installations Command Fire and Emergency Services, talks with fire chiefs from regional commands at the Shore-Based Shipboard Fire Fighter Symposium at CNIC Headquarter onboard the Washington Navy Yard, D.C., Aug. 25, 2021. The symposium allows fire chiefs stationed around the world to discuss best practices of firefighting aboard ships in installation ports. Under the CNO, CNIC is responsible for providing support services for the fleet, fighter and family with more than 53,000 military and civilian personnel under 10 regions and 70 installations worldwide.
