NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (Aug. 24, 2021) A facility for receiving evacuees from Afghanistan at Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota is set up in anticipation of their arrival. NAVSTA Rota is currently supporting the Department of Defense mission to facilitate the save departure and relocation of U.S. citizens, Special Immigration Visa recipients and vulnerable Afghan populations from Afghanistan.
