U.S. 7TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Aug. 5, 2021) A U.S. Marine with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 211 prepares to launch a recently re-armed F-35B Lightning II aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth (R08) in the Indo-Pacific. A first for the ship, rearming and refueling active aircraft allows U.S. Marines to increase sortie generation, providing commanders with increased options. This training underscores the unique advantages and opportunities which Carrier Strike Group 21 provides the US Marine Corps, US Navy, and Royal Navy and their commitment to shared security.
