(July 27, 2021) Chief Boatswain�s Mate Emeka Igwe and Chief Aviation Electronics Technician Chad Abel, both Recruit Division Commanders assigned to Officer Training Command Newport (OTCN), Rhode Island, dress a simulated sucking chest wound during an emergency action drill, July 27. High-risk training instructors are annually evaluated to maintain qualification to ensure a safe training environment. OTCN offers four officer training programs at Naval Station Newport, including Officer Candidate School, Officer Development School, the Limited Duty Officer and Chief Warrant Officer Academy, and the Naval Science Institute.
