WASHINGTON (May 25, 2021) U.S. Marine Corps General David H. Berger, Commandant of the Marine Corps, offers his condolences to the family during Senator John Warner’s Funeral, June 23, 2021 at Arlington National Cemetery. Senator Warner, the longest serving Republican senator in Virginia’s history, was born Feb. 18, 1927 and died May 25, 2021. Senator Warner served in the Navy towards the end of World War II and served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
