Bruce Gillingham, Surgeon General of the Navy, how glasses are manufactured at the facility June 16, 2021. NOSTRA is the Department of Defense's premiere manufacturing facility for the Optical Fabrication Enterprise, setting the standard for military medicine in the optical community. The NOSTRA Team consists of more than 210 Military, Civilian and Contract personnel to manufacture quality eyewear for active duty service members, retirees, contractors and public service workers.
