CARIBBEAN SEA (June 17, 2021) The Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Wichita (LCS 13) conducts a bilateral Photo Exercise (PHOTOEX) with Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Defender 380X-class all-weather interceptors D-7 and D-8 in the Caribbean Sea, June 17, 2021. Wichita conducted a brief stop for refueling and resupply in Antigua and Barbuda, marking the first visit from a U.S. Navy ship in over ten years. Wichita is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations to support Joint Interagency Task Force South�s mission, which includes counter illicit drug trafficking in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean.
