RED SEA (June 8, 2021) A landing craft, air cushion from Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 4 approaches the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), not pictured, in the Red Sea. Iwo Jima is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Pacific Ocean through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
