DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (May 17, 2021) Builder 3rd Class John Cristobal, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, constructs anchor bolt supports over formwork to secure antenna anchor bolts during concrete placement, May 17, 2021. The anchor bolts will secure the Hornet Antenna which will collect space environmental data to forecast and characterize the effects on terrestrial and space-based systems, further improving the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) capabilities of research and development of advanced technologies that support the warfighter. NMCB 4 is forward‐deployed throughout the Indo‐Pacific region, ready to support major combat operations, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief and provide general engineering and civil support to the U.S. and joint forces.
