ARABIAN SEA (June 2, 2021) A P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, attached to the "Skinny Dragons" of Patrol Squadron (VP) 4, and U.S. Air National Guard F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, attached to the "Swamp Foxes" of the 157th Fighter Squadron, operate in formation above guided-missile destroyer USS Mitscher (DDG 57), not pictured, during a maneuvering exercise in the Arabian Sea. Mitscher is operating with the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group while deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations and providing airpower to protect U.S. and coalition forces as they conduct drawdown operations from Afghanistan.
