ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 27, 2021) Standing NATO Maritime Group One (SNMG1) ships the Royal Danish Navy frigate HDMS Absalon (F341), left, and the French navy frigate FS Normandie (D651), right, conduct a replenishment-at-sea with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary RFA Tidespring (A136) off the coast of Portugal, May 27, 2021, during Exercise Steadfast Defender 21. Steadfast Defender is a defensive exercise based on an Article 5 scenario which is designed to deter aggression and respond to crisis if necessary.
