PAN TROIA, Portugal (May 10, 2021) U.S. Marines with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) take part in an amphibious assault demonstration during CONTEX-PHIBEX, a bilateral amphibious exercise between the U.S. and Portuguese naval services, May 10, 2021. The 24th MEU, embarked with the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, is forward deployed in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
