PACIFIC OCEAN (April 20, 2021) A U.S. Marine Corps UH-1Y Venom, top, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 165 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), takes off from the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) during formation steaming. Essex is underway as part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) conducting routine training off the coast of southern California with the 11th MEU.
