ROTA, Spain (April 25, 2021) A U.S. Marine with Battalion Landing Team (BLT) 1/8, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) participates in fast rope training aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), April 25, 2021. The 24th MEU, embarked with the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, is forward deployed in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
