JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 18, 2021) The Navy Region Southeast (NRSE) Equal Opportunity Office was awarded best in the Navy for Team Impact (Small Team) during the Department of the Navy Human Resources and Equal Employment Opportunity Excellence Awards 2020. The team, led by Vanessa Givens, center, includes Adrienne Johnson, Severiano Melendez, Sara Beksi, and Sarah Ayer. Together, they were recognized for being an efficient, effective and collaborative team that consistently demonstrated an impressive level of expertise, professionalism and dedication. The team collaborated with Staffing, and Labor and Employee Relations (LER) personnel to create "HRO on the Go" training and delivered vital training to over 2,200 personnel throughout the NRSE workforce. They also collaborated with Manpower, LER and Staffing personnel to develop a supervisor course, and established a training team to deliver the training to 18 installations across NRSE.
