ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 18, 2021) Sailors assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) participate in a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Month 5K on the flight deck, April 18, 2021. The primary focus of the Navy's SAPR program is a focus on approaches to take before sexual violence occurs, including, social norms, values and command climate. This year's SAPR month theme is: respect, protect, empower. Ford is underway in the Atlantic Ocean conducting its final independent steaming event of post-delivery tests and trials.
