ANNAPOLIS, Md. (March 25, 2021) U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman 1st Class Elise Lindsay receives the COVID-19 vaccine, which is currently voluntary for active duty members, including midshipmen, while it is in an emergency use authorization status. Vaccinating the midshipmen now will allow them to participate in summer training programs to meet Navy requirements. As the undergraduate college of our country's naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
