QUEENS, NY (March 24, 2021) A Hospital Corpsman administers the COVID-19 vaccination to a member of the community in Jamaica, Queens, NY. One hundred and thirty-nine Sailors from Navy Medicine East are assisting medical personnel and providing logistical support at the Federal Emergency Management Agency directed Community Vaccination Center at York College. The Department of Defense has provided 278 active duty Navy and Air Force medical and support personnel to support two CVCs in New York as part of the whole-of-government response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
